Drink and Eat :

Kerala is a place with plenty of rice paddies. So a carb-rich diet is quite obvious. When in Kerala their basic food is essential: idli (Steamed rice balls), dosa(rice and lentils pancake), Idiyappam(steamed rice noodles), appam(rice batter and coconut milk pancake), and many different numbers of rice are served like: ghee rice, lemon rice, and curd rice. There is this amazing Porotta (known as Malabariparatha in the north). You can mix any carb with anything like idli and sambar is not essential to have together but you can have idli with mutton curry as well.

When in Kerala ask around for toddy, which is tapped from the flowers of coconut and fermented. In general, you can pick a beer to enjoy along the beach avoid having wine, as their quality is not much good and are also overpriced.
